Former police officer from Grenada sees parallels to his Army career, LRC Wiesbaden

Godfrey Swan, a logistics management specialist in plans and operations at Logistics Readiness Center Wiesbaden, is originally from the small West Indies island of Grenada. Swan served with the Grenada police forces in the paramilitary division, and it was there that he received training by U.S. Army Special Forces Soldiers and decided he would one day serve in the U.S. Army. Over 30 years later and he’s a retired Army noncommissioned officer with 22 years of service, an Army veteran and an Army civilian service employee stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. (Courtesy photo)

Logistics Assistance Representatives Daniel Guzman Jr. and John Wordlaw speak with Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Volodymyr Havrylov during his visit to the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s Tele-Maintenance and Distribution Cell-Ukraine, July 17, in Jasionka, Poland. Guzman and Wordlaw and other technical experts from U.S. Army Materiel Command’s Life Cycle Management Commands – such as U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command – are able to provide the Ukrainian armed forces with technical advice via the 405th AFSB’s TDC-U. Whether at work or at home, LRC Italy program manager’s life revolves around food

Mark Knapp has been working in Army food service for 35 years. By day he’s the food service program manager at Logistics Readiness Center Italy, but when he’s not at work he’s usually tending to his apple and cherry trees, berries and vegetables at his small farm in San Pietro in Gu, Italy. He takes great pride in his passion for horticulture and enjoys gardening very much, he said.

LRC Bavaria transportation assistant makes exercise, nutrition part of her healthy lifestyle

Carina Walberer is a transportation assistant at the Personal Property Processing Office in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The PPPO is part of the Logistics Readiness Center Bavaria’s Transportation Division, 405th Army Field Support Brigade. She believes nutrition, exercise and a healthy lifestyle is very important. And hiking is one of her biggest hobbies and ways to stay active and fit, she said.
