About Us

The Base Support Operations Maintenance, or BASOPS MD, is a field operating activity under the 405th Army Field Support Brigade and provides equipment maintenance support to all garrison community organizations/activities in Germany.

Mission

Provide consolidated Material Maintenance Support for Base Operation equipment for US. Army Europe within the Germany footprint and mechanical safety inspections on Privately Owned Vehicles.

 

Vision

Provide BASOPS Maintenance excellence throughout Germany with a centralized administration as head of a customer driven organization with flexible customer Service Teams and their motivated professionals.

Main Functions

  • Privately Owned Vehicle Inspections
    Vehicles brought from the U.S., or purchased locally, must be registered with USAREUR. All shipped vehicles and used vehicles purchased in Germany must pass a safety inspection before they can be registered. To help your inspection go faster, fill out the inspection form before you go.
  • Maintenance of Non-Tactical Vehicles

    Perform Automotive Maintenance on remnant fleet including special purpose vehicles, fire and rescue vehicles, snow and ice removal vehicles, heavy armored vehicles.

  • Maintenance of Construction Equipment

    Perform construction Equipment Maintenance including scoop loader, excavators, scrapers, road graders, tractors and rollers.
