LRC Ansbach food service manager: Class I top of Army’s supply chain system for good reason

Jerome Young, the installation food service program manager for Logistics Readiness Center Ansbach, praises the food service staff at the Katterbach Warrior Restaurant. The LRC Ansbach food service program Young manages includes two dining facilities and over 100 local national contractors, LRC Ansbach civilian employees and Soldiers from the 221st Quartermaster Company (Field Feeding Company). I’ll make corrections when necessary, but I will also praise them every chance I get, he said.

In addition, PCS and service awards, as well as on-the-spot and special act awards were presented.

With 28 years in Ansbach, LRC transportation chief considers Bavarian town his second home

Steve Rice, acting chief of the Transportation Division, Logistics Readiness Center Ansbach, 405th Army Field Support Brigade, said his hometown is Hustonville, Kentucky, but Ansbach, Germany, is definitely his second home. I’ve lived in the Ansbach area on and off since 1982, for a total of 28 years, he said. And I was born in Germany. My father was stationed here. And my wife is German, he added. (Courtesy photo)

LRC Wiesbaden director who served 44 years with Army to retire at end of 2021

Logistics Readiness Center Wiesbaden Director Heinz Kaffenberger retires at the end of 2021 with 44 years of service with the Army, more than 14 years of which he served as the director of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s LRC Wiesbaden. A farewell luncheon is planned for Kaffenberger and scheduled for Dec. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brauhaus Castel in Mainz-Kastel, Germany.
