Former German soldier at LRC Benelux enjoys working for U.S. Army, living in Belgium

Juergen Klett is a transportation assistant at the Transportation Motor Pool, Logistics Readiness Center Benelux, 405th Army Field Support Brigade. He’s German, but he's been living in Belgium for five years and working for the U.S. Army a total of 13 years. "I‘ve enjoyed working with different people of different nationalities and different cultures," he said. "We all work well as a team, which makes us strong and effective in all our tasks."

Silke Martin, the administrative officer for Logistics Readiness Center Rheinland-Pfalz, has served with the U.S. Army as a German local national employee for nearly 38 years. 405th AFSB LOGCAP provides vital life support services to Flintlock 2022 exercise in Africa

As the program management office for the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program on the African continent, the 405th Army Field Support Brigade was tasked with providing base life support services this month for U.S. Africa Command’s premier and largest annual special operations exercise. About 400 service members from 10 African partner and allied nations are participating in exercise Flintlock 2022. This year the exercise is hosted by Cote d’Ivoire, also known as the Ivory Coast. For Flintlock 2022, U.S. Special Operations Command Africa wanted to use LOGCAP as a solution to provide base life support services, said Maj. Amanda Foster, Flintlock 2022 administrative contracting officer.
