Skillbridge benefits transitioning Soldiers, helps groom qualified LOGCAP professionals

Chris Norris, the deputy director of Logistics Civil Augmentation Program Europe, mentors Master Sgt. Karina Rodriguez, who is enrolled in the Department of Defense Skillbridge program with LOGCAP. Rodriguez, a transportation senior sergeant with the 39th Transportation Movement Control Battalion, retires at the end of July. She is attending a 180-day Skillbridge LOGCAP internship with the 405th Army Field Support Brigade.

405th AFSB holds employee townhall to discuss informational updates, future posture

The 405th Army Field Support Brigade conducted an employee townhall March 25, both in person at the brigade headquarters and virtually for much of the workforce located across Europe. Army Col. Ernest Lane II, the commander of the 405th AFSB, led the townhall discussion and took questions from participants. Lane said the focus of the townhall was to discuss information gained from recent Presidential Executive Orders, much of which will likely affect the brigade and its workforce in the near- and long-term future.

AFSBn-Africa supply officer to retire with 50+ years of Army service on 250th birthday year

Dan Gwinn is the supply officer at Army Field Support Battalion-Africa, 405th Army Field Support Brigade. Gwinn, a former Army master sergeant who is 69 years old, is retiring at the end of this month with more than 50 years of service with the Army on the Army’s 250th birthday year. “It’s been a great ride.
