405th AFSB command team conducts maintenance terrain walk at Dülmen APS-2 site

The 405th AFSB command team, Col. Brad Bane and Command Sgt. Maj. Kofie Primus, conducted a site visit and maintenance terrain walk of the Army Prepositioned Stock-2 worksite at Tower Barracks, Dülmen, Germany, Dec. 15. The 405th AFSB's Army Field Support Battalion Germany, commanded by Lt. Col. Rebecca Milkowski-Gerdelman, is responsible for the Dülmen APS-2 worksite. When Army Field Support Battalion Germany assumed command and control of the Dülmen APS-2 worksite from Army Field Support Battalion Mannheim in October, that marked the 405th AFSB's first official step to regionally align its four battalions and its critically important APS-2 program to best support U.S. Army Europe and Africa – to include future APS-2 operations in Powidz, Poland. LRC Benelux Dutch employee still feels grateful for U.S. liberation of his hometown during WWII

Ton Fiddelers is the resource manager at the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s Logistics Readiness Center Benelux. The Dutch Ministry of Defense employee will retire in October 2022 with 41 years and 6 days of service with the U.S. Army. He said he’s extremely grateful to the U.S. Army, not just for his 41 years of service but also for the liberation of his hometown and country during the Second World War. (U.S. Army courtesy photo)

405th AFSB food service excellence program in Europe announces 54th annual Army competition nomination

Recently, the 405th Army Filed Support Brigade announced its nomination for the 54th Annual Philip A. Connelly Military Garrison Award Competition to represent U.S. Army Europe and Africa and compete at Army level. The 405th AFSB nominated the Defender Café Warrior Restaurant, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Kaiserslautern, Germany, which is part of the 55th Quartermaster Company, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command. LRC Stuttgart TMP supervisor enjoys working with multiple nationalities supporting one mission

Lukas Zenger is the Transportation Motor Pool supervisor at Logistics Readiness Center Stuttgart, 405th Army Field Support Brigade. He manages a fleet of more than 300 government leased TMP vehicles, to include 13 buses, and 25 people. We have Americans. We have people from Africa. We have people from Turkey, Bosnia, Greece and Germany. I enjoy working with all these different people from different backgrounds, different cultures and different experiences. They are all very reliable, they are all very good at what they do, and they all enjoy working for the U.S. Army as part of LRC Stuttgart and the 405th AFSB. (U.S. Army courtesy photo)
