PISA, Italy –
The commander of the 405th AFSB's Army Field Support Battalion Africa recently participated in a visit to a pediatric oncohematology department at a hospital in Pisa, Italy.
Army Lt. Col. Miguel Flores said he participated because he wanted to share his experience as a cancer survivor with the children hospitalized there.
With the example we set – our determination, strength, a big smile and with every little sign that we leave in this world – we will be able to face any difficulty, no matter how hard we will have to fight, he said.
