05th Army Field Support Brigade Logistics Civil Augmentation Program-Europe contractors set up billeting tents to support Operation Allies Refuge at Rhine Ordnance Barracks in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Aug. 25. Operation Allies Refuge is facilitating the quick, safe evacuation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants and other at-risk Afghans from Afghanistan. This initiative follows through on America’s commitment to Afghan citizens who have helped the United States, and provides them essential support at secure locations, where they and their families can complete the SIV process safely. 405th AFSB, Deutsche Bahn test new rail car with M1 Abrams tank, Bradleys

An M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tank from Army Field Support Battalion-Mannheim’s Army Prepositioned Stock site at Coleman Worksite is driven onto a newly redesigned prototype rail car Aug. 10. The SEPv3 Abrams is heavier than its predecessors, weighing more than 73 tons.

405th AFSB uses Antiterrorism Awareness Month to reinforce important practices, procedures

August is the Army’s 12th annual observance of Antiterrorism Awareness Month, and the 405th Army Field Support Brigade has taken this opportunity to remind its employees that being aware and vigilant of possible threats is important every day. For the more than 6,000 Soldiers, Army civilians, local national employees and contractors assigned to the 405th AFSB, their home is overseas – making it extremely important to remain vigilant and to maintain a robust threat awareness posture in order to deter, detect and mitigate risks.

LAR supports 1ID Black Hawk crew after emergency landing, damage to aircraft

Cliff Barnes, a U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command Logistics Assistance Representative assigned to the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, inspects a damaged rotor blade on a UH-60 Black Hawk in a hangar at Bucharest International Airport. After the precautionary landing due to a major mechanical problem, Barnes inspected the aircraft with the pilots and mechanics.
