Belgian employees assigned to Army Field Support Battalion-Benelux at the Zutendaal Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 worksite load a muti-role bridge company bridge bay onto a commercial line haul transporter at the Zutendaal APS-2 site, May 4. The MRBC will be issued to the 50th Muti-Role Bridge Company at an Equipment Configuration and Hand-off Area on Mihail Kogalniceau Air Base, Romania, next week during DEFENDER 23.

405th AFSB BASOPS Maintenance employee receives special recognition from local officials

Volker Frey, a heavy mobile equipment repair mechanic and customer service team supervisor for Base Support Operations Maintenance, works on a U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz fire truck at his maintenance facility on Panzer Kaserne in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Frey recently was awarded a Silver Master’s Certificate in recognition for his 25 years as a master mechanic and craftsman.

New policy restricting PCS shipment, storage of some lithium batteries takes effect on May 15

Lithium battery labels demonstrate the potential hazards the batteries present. Although the Defense Personal Property Management Office recognizes this new policy on the shipment of lithium batteries may cause an inconvenience to Soldiers and Families, DPPMO is committed to abiding by local and international laws regarding the movement of hazardous cargo.
